Hey late-night snackers! 🌙 It’s 12:15 AM, and I’m showing you my secret to an elevated peanut butter toast—the Late Night Peanut Butter Crunch Toast. This isn’t your boring regular peanut butter toast; it’s a simple, easy snack recipe that uses granola cereal (specifically with raisins and dates!) and a little honey to add the perfect crunch and sweetness. Watch me use creamy peanut butter spread on thick , top it with the granola, and toast it in the toaster oven until it’s perfectly warm and melty—just be careful, the peanut butter is like lava. This quick midnight craving fix is a true peanut butter hack to try when you need a little more than just the basics.
Special Equipment:
Toaster Oven
Ingredients:
- 2 pieces of bread
- Peanut Butter (creamy or crunchy)
- Granola Cereal with dates and raisins (Regular granola is an acceptable alternative) .
- Honey
Directions:
Spread the Peanut Butter: Take your pieces of bread and spread the peanut butter on nice and thick.
Add the Crunch: Sprinkle a layer of the granola cereal over the peanut butter.
Toast: Place the toast into the toaster oven. Toast it like you normally would for almost anything else, The heat will bring out the sugar in the peanut butter.
Cool: Once done, remove the toast using a spatula, as the melted peanut butter will be “quite hot and almost like lava”. Allow it a chance to cool a little bit.
Drizzle with Honey: Drizzle some lines of honey over the toasted snack.
Enjoy!
Other Topping Suggestions:
- Sliced apples
- Pears
- Banana and bacon (the ” Elvis Special”)
